What we collect
- Account info — email and (when you sign in with Apple) a stable Apple identity token. Optionally a username and display name if you turn on social features.
- Meals you log — photos, titles, notes, timestamps, and optional location (only if you opt in to location tagging).
- AI analysis output — macros, ingredients, and other structured data the AI extracts from your photos. Stored alongside the meal entry.
- Social activity — friend requests, comments, reactions, blocks, reports.
- Diagnostics — anonymized API request logs (path, response code, latency) for reliability monitoring. We do not log request bodies.
How we use it
- To run the app: store your meals, analyze photos, deliver notifications.
- To moderate the service: investigate reports, enforce blocks, and remove abusive content.
- To improve quality: aggregate anonymized AI accuracy ratings.
We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling.
Third parties we share with
- OpenRouter (AI inference) — your meal photos are sent to OpenRouter for analysis by Gemini models. They process the image and return structured data; per their policy, prompts are not used to train models on the routes we use.
- Tigris (S3-compatible storage) — photo files are stored encrypted at rest.
- Apple — when you Sign In with Apple, Apple shares only a stable identity token plus the email or relay address you authorize.
- Fly.io / Neon — our application and database hosts.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your meals, posts, friends, AI history, and session tokens. Data referenced in moderation history (e.g. reports you filed) is retained with your user reference cleared.

Children
MyFoodFeed is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
